6. Rupaparicchedavannana

1. Evam (Abv.CS:pg.194) tava cittacetasikavasena duvidham Abhidhammattham dassetva idani rupam, tadanantarabca nibbanam dassetumarabhanto aha “ettavatatyadi. Sappabhedappavattika uddesaniddesapatiniddesavasena tihi paricchedehi vuttappabhedavanto, pavattipatisandhivasena dvihi paricchedehi vuttappavattivanto ca cittacetasika dhamma ettavata pabcahi paricchedehi vibhatta hi yasma, idani yathanuppattam rupam pavuccatiti yojana.

2. Idani yathapatibbatarupavibhagattham matikam thapetum “samuddesatyadi vuttam. Savkhepato uddisanam samuddeso. Ekavidhadivasena vibhajanam vibhago, samutthati etasma phalanti samutthanam, kammadayo rupajanakapaccaya. Cakkhudasakadayo kalapa. Pavattikkamato ceti bhavakalasattabhedena rupanam uppattikkamato.

3. Upadinnanupadinnasantanesu sasambharadhatuvasena mahanta hutva bhuta patubhutati mahabhuta (dha.sa attha.584). Athava anekavidha-abbhutavisesadassanena, anekabhutadassanena va mahantani abbhutani, abhutani va etesuti mahabhuta, mayakaradayo. Tehi samana sayam aniladisabhavaneva niladi-upadayarupadassanaditoti mahabhuta. Manapavannasanthanadihi va sattanam vabcika yakkhini-adayo viya manapa-itthipurisarupadassanadina sattanam vabcakatta mahantani abhutani etesuti mahabhuta. Vuttampi hetam–

“Mahanta (Abv.CS:pg.195) patubhutati, mahabhutasamati va;

Vabcakatta abhutena, ‘mahabhuta’ti sammata”ti. (abhidha. 626).

Atha va mahantapatubhavato mahantani bhavanti etesu upadarupani, bhutani cati mahabhutani. Mahabhute upadaya pavattam rupam upadayarupam. Yadi evam “ekam mahabhutam paticca tato mahabhuta”tyadivacanato (pattha.1.1.53) ekekamahabhuta sesamahabhutanam nissaya hontiti tesampi upadayarupatapasavgoti? Nayidamevam upadayeva pavattarupanam tamsamabbasiddhito. Yabhi mahabhute upadiyati, sayabca abbehi upadiyati. Na tam upadayarupam. Yam pana upadiyateva, na kenaci upadiyati, tadeva upadayarupanti natthi bhutanam tabboharappasavgo. Apica catunnam mahabhutanam upadayarupanti upadayarupalakkhananti natthi tayo upadaya pavattanam upadayarupatati.

4. Pathanatthena pathavi, tarupabbatadinam pakatipathavi viya sahajatarupanam patitthanabhavena pakkhayati, upatthatiti vuttam hoti, pathavi eva dhatu salakkhanadharanadito nissattanijjivatthena sariraselavayavadhatusadisatta cati pathavidhatu. Apeti sahajatarupani pattharati, apayati va bruheti vaddhetiti apo. Tejeti paripaceti, niseti va tikkhabhavena sesabhutattayam usmapetiti tejo. Vayati desantaruppattihetubhavena bhutasavghatam papetiti vayo. Catassopi paneta yathakkamam kathinattadavatta-unhattavitthambhanattalakkhanati datthabbam.

5. Cakkhadinam vacanattho hettha kathitova. Pasadarupam nama catunnam mahabhutanam pasannabhavahetukatta. Tam (Abv.CS:pg.196) pana yathakkamam datthukamatasotukamataghayitukamatasayitukamataphusitukamatanidanakammasamutthanabhutappasadalakkhanam. Tattha cakkhu tava majjhe kanhamandalassa ukasirappamane abhimukhe thitanam sarirasanthanuppattipadese telamiva picupatalani sattakkhipatalani byapetva dharananahapanamandanabijanakiccahi catuhi dhatihi viya khattiyakumaro sandharanabandhanaparipacanasamudiranakiccahi catuhi dhatuhi katupakaram utucittaharehi upatthambhiyamanam ayuna paripaliyamanam vannadihi parivaritam yathayogam cakkhuvibbanadinam vatthudvarabhavam sadhentam pavattati, itaram “sasambharacakkhu”ti vuccati. Evam sotadayopi yathakkamam sotabilabbhantare avgulivedhanakaram upacitatanutambalomam, nasikabbhantare ajapadasanthanam, jivhamajjhe uppaladalaggasanthanam padesam abhibyapetva pavattanti, itaram pana thapetva kammajatejassa patitthanatthanam kesaggalomagganakhaggasukkhacammani ca avasesam sakalasariram pharitva pavattati. Evam santepi itarehi tassa savkaro na hoti bhinnanissayalakkhanatta. Ekanissayanipi hi ruparasadini lakkhanabhedato asamkinnati kim pana bhinnanissaya pasada.

6. Apodhatuya sukhumabhavena phusitum asakkuneyyatta vuttam apodhatu vivajjitam bhutattayasavkhatan”ti. Kibcapi hi sitata phusitva gayhati, sa pana tejoyeva. Mande hi unhatte sitabuddhi sitatasavkhatassa kassaci gunassa abhavato. Tayidam sitabuddhiya anavatthitabhavato vibbayati parapare viya. Tatha hi ghammakale atape thatva chayam pavitthanam sitabuddhi hoti, tattheva cirakalam thitanam unhabuddhi. Yadi ca apodhatu sitata siya, unhabhavena saha ekasmim kalape (Abv.CS:pg.197) upalabbheyya, na cevam upalabbhati, tasma vibbayati “na apodhatu sitata”ti. Ye pana “davata apodhatu, sa ca phusitva gayhati”ti vadanti, te vattabba “davata nama phusitva gayhatiti idam ayasmantanam abhimanamattam santhane viya”ti. Vuttabhetam poranehi–

“Davatasahavuttini, tini bhutani samphusam;

Davatam samphusamiti, lokoyamabhimabbati.

“Bhute phusitva santhanam, manasa ganhato yatha;

Paccakkhato phusamiti, vibbeyya davata tatha”ti.

Gocararupam nama pabcavibbanavisayabhavato. Gavo indriyani caranti etthati gocaranti hi arammanassetam namam. Tam panetam pabcavidhampi yathakkamam cakkhuvibbanadinam gocarabhavalakkhanam, cakkhadipatihananalakkhanam va.

7. Itthiya bhavo itthattam (dha.sa attha.632). Purisassa bhavo purisattam. Tattha itthilivganimittakuttakappahetubhavalakkhanam itthattam, purisalivgadihetubhavalakkhanam purisattam. Tattha itthinam avgajatam itthilivgam. Saradhippaya itthinimittam “itthi”ti sabjananassa paccayabhavato. Avisadathanagamananisajjadi itthikuttam. Itthisanthanam itthakappo. Purisalivgadinipi vuttanayena datthabbani. Atthakathayam pana abbatha itthilivgadini vannitani. Tam pana evam savgahetva vadanti–

“Livgam hatthadisanthanam, nimittam mihitadikam;

Kuttam suppadina kila, akappo gamanadikan”ti.



Bhavarupam nama bhavati etena itthadi-abhidhanam, buddhi cati katva. Tam panetam kayindriyam viya sakalasariram pharitva titthati.

8. Hadayameva (Abv.CS:pg.198) manodhatumanovibbanadhatunam nissayatta vatthu cati hadayavatthu. Tatha hi tam dhatudvayanissayabhavalakkhanam, tabca hadayakosabbhantare addhapasatamattam lohitam nissaya pavattati. Rupakande avuttassapi panetassa agamato, yuttito ca atthibhavo datthabbo. Tattha, tam rupam nissaya manodhatu ca manovibbanadhatu ca vattanti “yam rupam manodhatuya ca manovibbanadhatuya ca tamsampayuttakanabca dhammanam nissayapaccayena paccayo”ti (pattha.1.1.8) evamagatam patthanavacanam agamo. Yutti panevam datthabba–

“Nipphannabhutikadhara, dve dhatu kamarupinam;

Rupanubandhavuttitta, cakkhuvibbanadayo viya.

“Cakkhadinissitaneta, tassabbadharabhavato;

Napi rupadike tesam, bahiddhapi pavattito.

“Na capi jivitam tassa, kiccantaraniyuttito;

Na ca bhavadvayam tasmim, asantepi pavattito.

“Tasma tadabbam vatthu tam, bhutikanti vijaniyam;

Vatthalambadukanantu, desanabhedato idam.



Dhammasavganipathasmim, na akkhatam mahesina”ti.

9. Jivanti tenati jivitam, tadeva kammajarupaparipalane adhipaccayogato indriyanti jivitindriyam. Tatha hetam kammajarupaparipalanalakkhanam. Yathasakam khanamattatthayinampi hi sahajatanam pavattihetubhaveneva anupalakam. Na hi tesam kammamyeva thitikaranam hoti aharajadinam aharadi viya kammassa tavkhanabhavato. Idam pana saha pacanaggina anavasesa-upadinnakayam byapetva pavattati.

10. Kabalam (Abv.CS:pg.199) katva ajjhohariyatiti kabalikaro aharo, idabca savatthukam katva aharam dassetum vuttam. Sendriyakayopatthambhanahetubhuta pana avgamavganusari rasaharasavkhata ajjhoharitabbaharasinehabhuta oja idha ahararupam nama. Tatha hetam sendriyakayopatthambhanahetubhavalakkhanam, ojatthamakarupaharanalakkhanam va.

11. Kakkhalattadina attano attano sabhavena upalabbhanato sabhavarupam nama. Uppadadihi, aniccatadihi va lakkhanehi sahitanti salakkhanam. Paricchedadibhavam vina attano sabhaveneva kammadihi paccayehi nipphannatta nippharupam nama. Ruppanasabhavo rupam, tena yuttampi rupam, yatha “arisaso, niluppalan”ti, svayam rupa-saddo rulhiya atamsabhavepi pavattatiti aparena rupa-saddena visesetva “ruparupan”ti vuttam yatha “dukkhadukkhan”ti. Paricchedadibhavam atikkamitva sabhaveneva upalabbhanato lakkhanattayaropanena sammasitum arahatta sammasanarupam.

12. Na kassatiti akaso. Akasoyeva akaso, nijjivatthena dhatu cati akasadhatu. Cakkhudasakadi-ekekakalapagatarupanam kalapantarehi asamkinnabhavapadanavasena paricchedakam, tehi va paricchijjamanam, tesam paricchedamattam va rupam paricchedarupam. Tabhi tam tam rupakalapam paricchindantam viya hoti. Vijjamanepi ca kalapantarabhutehi kalapantarabhutanam samphutthabhave tamtamrupavivittata rupapariyanto akaso. Yesabca so paricchedo, tehi sayam asamphutthoyeva. Abbatha paricchinnata na siya tesam rupanam byapibhavapattito. Abyapita (Abv.CS:pg.200) hi asamphutthata. Tenaha Bhagava “asamphuttham catuhi mahabhutehi”ti (dha.sa.637).

13. Calamanakayena adhippayam vibbapeti, sayabca tena vibbayatiti kayavibbatti. Savibbanakasaddasavkhatavacaya adhippayam vibbapeti, sayabca taya vibbayatiti vacivibbatti. Tattha abhikkamadijanakacittasamutthanavayodhatuya sahajatarupasanthambhanasandharanacalitesu sahakarikaranabhuto phandamanakayaphandanatamhetukavayodhatuvinimutto mahantam pasanam ukkhipantassa sabbathamena gahanakale ussahanavikaro viya rupakayassa pariphandanapaccayabhavena upalabbhamano vikaro kayavibbatti. Sa hi phandamanakayena adhippayam vibbapeti. Na hi vibbattivikararahitesu rukkhacalanadisu “idamesa kareti”ti adhippayaggahanam ditthanti. Hatthacalanadisu ca phandamanakayaggahananantaram avibbayamanantarehi manodvarajavanehi gayhamanatta sayabca kayena vibbayati.

Katham pana vibbattivasena hatthacalanadayo hontiti? Vuccate– ekavajjanavithiyam sattasu javanesu sattamajavanasamutthanavayodhatu vibbattivikarasahitava pathamajavanadisamutthanahi vayodhatuhi laddhopatthambha desantaruppattihetubhavena calayati cittajam, purimajavanadisambhuta pana santhambhanasandharanamattakara tassa upakaraya hontiti. Yatha hi sattahi yugehi akaddhitabbasakate sattamayugayuttayeva gona hettha chasu yugesu yuttagonehi laddhupatthambha sakatam calenti, pathamayugadiyutta pana upatthambhanasandharanamattameva sadhenta tesam upakaraya honti, evamsampadamidam datthabbam.

Desantaruppattiyeva (Abv.CS:pg.201) cettha calanam uppannadesato kesaggamattampi dhammanam savkamanabhavato. Itaratha nesam abyaparakata, khanikata ca na siya. Desantaruppattihetubhavoti ca yatha attana sahajarupani hetthimajavanasamutthitarupehi patitthitatthanato abbattha uppajjanti, evam tehi saha tattha uppattiyevati datthabbam, ettha pana cittaje calite tamsambandhena itarampi calati nadisote pakkhittasukkhagomayapindam viya. Tatha calayitum asakkonti yopi pathamajavanadisamutthanavayodhatuyo vibbattivikarasahitayeva yena disabhagena ayam abhikkamadini pavattetukamo, tadabhimukhabhavavikarasambhavato. Evabca katva manodvaravajjanassapi vibbattisamutthapakattam vakkhati. Vacibhedakaracittasamutthanapathavidhatuya akkharuppattitthanagata-upadinnarupehi saha ghattanapaccayabhuto eko vikaro vacivibbatti. Yam panettha vattabbam, tam kayavibbattiyam vuttanayena datthabbam.

Ayam pana viseso– yatha tattha “phandamanakayaggahananantaran”ti vuttam, evamidha “suyyamanasaddasavananantaran”ti yojetabbam. Idha ca santhambhanadinam abhavato sattamajavanasamutthitatyadinayo na labbhati. Ghattanena hi saddhimyeva saddo uppajjati. Ghattanabca pathamajavanadisupi labbhateva. Ettha ca yatha ussapetva baddhagosisatalapannadirupani disva tadanantarappavattaya avibbayamanantaraya manodvaravithiya gosisadinam udakasahacaritappakaram sabbanam gahetva udakaggahanam hoti, evam vipphandamanasamuccariyamanakayasadde gahetva tadanantarappavattaya avibbayamanantaraya manodvaravithiya purimasiddhasambandhupanissayaya sadhippayavikaraggahanam hotiti ayam dvinnam sadharana upama.

14. Lahubhavo (Abv.CS:pg.202) lahuta. Mudubhavo muduta. Kammabbabhavo kammabbata. Yathakkamabceta arogino viya rupanam agaruta suparimadditacammassa viya akathinata sudhantasuvannassa viya sarirakiriyanam anukulabhavoti datthabbam. Abbamabbam avijahantassapi hi lahutadittayassa tamtamvikaradhikarupehi nanattam vuccati, dandhattakaradhatukkhobhappatipakkhapaccayasamutthano hi rupavikaro lahuta. Thaddhattakaradhatukkhobhappatipakkhapaccayasamutthano muduta. Sarirakiriyanam ananukulabhavakaradhatukkhobhappatipakkhapaccayasamutthano kammabbatati.

15. Upacayanam upacayo, pathamacayotyattho “upabbattan”tyadisu viya upa-saddassa pathamatthajotanato. Santano santati, pabandhotyattho. Tattha patisandhito patthaya yava cakkhadidasakanam uppatti, etthantare rupuppado upacayo nama. Tato param santati nama. Yathasakam khanamattatthayinam rupanam nirodhabhimukhabhavavasena jiranam jara, sayeva jarata, niccadhuvabhavena na iccam anupagantabbanti aniccam, tassa bhavo aniccata, rupaparibhedo. Lakkhanarupam nama dhammanam tamtam-avatthavasena lakkhanahetutta.

16. Jatirupamevati patisandhito patthaya rupanam khane khane uppattibhavato jatisavkhatam rupuppattibhavena catusantatirupappatibaddhavuttitta rupasammatabca jatirupameva upacayasantatibhavena pavuccati pathamupariniccattasavkhatappavatti-akarabhedato veneyyavasena “upacayo santati”ti (dha.sa.642) vibhajitva vuttatta. Evabca katva tasam niddese atthato abhedam dassetum “yo ayatananam acayo, so rupassa upacayo. Yo rupassa upacayo, sa (Abv.CS:pg.203) rupassa santati”ti (dha.sa.641-642) vuttam. Ekadasavidhampiti sabhagasavgahavasena ekadasappakarampi.

17. Cattaro bhuta, pabca pasada, cattaro visaya, duvidho bhavo, hadayarupamiccapi idam jivitahararupehi dvihi saha attharasavidham, tatha paricchedo ca duvidha vibbatti, tividho vikaro, catubbidham lakkhananti rupanam paricchedavikaradibhavam vina visum paccayehi anibbattatta ime anipphanna dasa ceti atthavisatividham bhave.

Rupavibhagavannana

18. Idani yatha-uddittharupanam ekavidhadinayadassanattham “sabbabca panetan”tyadi vuttam. Sampayuttassa alobhadihetuno abhava ahetukam. Yathasakam paccayavantataya sappaccayam. Attanam arabbha pavattehi kamasavadihi sahitatta sasavam. Paccayehi abhisavkhatatta savkhatam. Upadanakkhandhasavkhate loke niyuttataya lokiyam. Kamatanhaya avacaritatta kamavacaram. Arupadhammanam viya kassaci arammanassa aggahanato nassa arammananti anarammanam. Tadavgadivasena pahatabbatabhavato appahatabbam. Iti-saddo pakarattho, tena “abyakatan”tyadikam sabbam ekavidhanayam savganhati.

19. Ajjhattikarupam attabhavasavkhatam attanam adhikicca uddissa pavattatta. Kamam abbepi hi ajjhattasambhuta atthi, rulhivasena pana cakkhadikamyeva ajjhattikam. Atha va “yadi mayam na homa, tvam katthakalivgarupamo bhavissasi”ti vadanta viya attabhavassa (Abv.CS:pg.204) satisayam upakaratta cakkhadineva visesato ajjhattikani nama. Attasavkhatam va cittam adhikicca tassa dvarabhavena pavattatiti ajjhattam, tadeva ajjhattikam. Tato bahibhutatta itaram tevisatividham bahirarupam.

20. Itaram bavisatividham avatthurupam.

22. Atthavidhampi indriyarupam pabcavibbanesu livgadisu sahajarupaparipalane ca adhipaccayogato. Pasadarupassa hi pabcavidhassa cakkhuvibbanadisu adhipaccam attano patumandadibhavena tesampi patumandadibhavapadanato. Bhavadvayassapi itthilivgadisu adhipaccam yathasakam paccayehi uppajjamananampi tesam yebhuyyena sabhavakasantaneyeva tamtadakarena uppajjanato, na pana indriyapaccayabhavato. Jivitassa ca kammajaparipalane adhipaccam tesam yathasakam khanatthanassa jivitindriyappatibaddhatta. Sayabca attana thapitadhammasambandheneva pavattati naviko viya.

23. Visayavisayibhavappattivasena thulatta olarikarupam. Tatoyeva gahanassa sukaratta santikerupam asannarupam nama. Yo sayam, nissayavasena ca sampattanam, asampattanabca patimukhabhavo abbamabbapatanam, so patigho viyati patigho. Yatha hi patighate sati dubbalassa calanam hoti, evam abbamabbam patimukhabhave sati arupasabhavatta dubbalassa bhavavgassa calanam hoti. Patigho yassa atthi tam sappatigham. Tattha sayam sampatti photthabbassa, nissayavasena sampatti ghanajivhakayagandharasanam, ubhayathapi asampatti cakkhusotarupasaddananti datthabbam. Itaram solasavidham olarikatadisabhavabhavato sukhumarupadikam.

24. Kammato (Abv.CS:pg.205) jatam attharasavidham upadinnarupam tanhaditthihi upetena kammuna attano phalabhavena adinnatta gahitatta. Itaram aggahitaggahanenadasavidham anupadinnarupam.

25. Datthabbabhavasavkhatena nidassanena saha vattatiti sanidassanam. Cakkhuvibbanagocarabhavo hi nidassananti vuccati tassa ca rupayatanato anabbattepi abbehi dhammehi tam visesetum abbam viya katva vattum vattatiti saha nidassanena sanidassananti. Dhammabhavasamabbena hi ekibhutesu dhammesu yo nanattakaro viseso, so abbo viya katva upacaritum yutto. Evabhi atthavisesavabodho hoti.

26. Asampattavasenati attanam asampattassa gocarassa vasena, attana visayappadesam va asampattavasena. Cakkhusotani hi rupasaddehi asampattani, sayam va tani asampattaneva arammanam ganhanti. Tenetam vuccati–

“Cakkhusotam panetesu, hotasampattagahakam;

Vibbanuppattihetutta, santaradhikagocare.

“Tatha hi duradesattham, phalikaditirohitam;

Mahantabca nagadinam, vannam cakkhu udikkhati.

“Akasadigato kucchi-cammanantarikopi ca.

Mahanto ca ghantadinam, saddo sotassa gocaro.

“Gantva visayadesam tam, pharitva ganhatiti ce;

Adhitthanavidhanepi, tassa so gocaro siya.

“Bhutappabandhato so ce, yati indriyasannidhim;

Kammacittojasambhuto, vanno saddo ca cittajo.

“Na tesam gocara honti, na hi sambhonti te bahi;

Vutta ca avisesena, pathe tamvisayava te.

“Yadi (Abv.CS:pg.206) cetam dvayam attasamipamyeva ganhati;

Akkhivannam tatha mulam, passeyya bhamukassa ca.

“Disadesavavatthanam, saddassa na bhaveyya ca;

Siya ca saravedhissa, sakanne sarapatanan”ti.

Gocaraggahikarupam vibbanadhitthitam hutva tamtamgocaraggahanasabhavatta. Itaram tevisatividham agocaraggahikarupam gocaraggahanabhavato.

27. Vannitabbo datthabboti vanno. Attano udayanantaram rupam janetiti oja. Avinibbhogarupam katthacipi abbamabbam vinibhubjanassa visum visum pavattiya abhavato. Rupaloke gandhadinam abhavavadimatampi hi tattha tattha (vibha.Mulati. 227 vibha.anuti.227) acariyehi patikkhittameva.

28. Iccevanti etthapi iti-saddo pakarattho, tena idha anagatampi sabbam dukatikadibhedam savganhati.

Rupasamutthananayavannana

29. Kani pana tani kammadini, katham, kattha, kada ca rupasamutthananiti aha “tatthatyadi. Patisandhimupadayati patisandhicittassa uppadakkhanam upadaya. Khane khaneti ekekassa cittassa tisu tisu khanesu, nirantaramevati vuttam hoti. Apare pana cittassa thitikkhanam (vibha.mulati.20 pakinnakakathavannana), bhavgakkhane ca rupuppadam (vibha.mulati.20 pakinnakakathavannana) patisedhenti. Tattha kibcapi thitikkhanabhave tesam upapatti ceva tattha vattabbabca hettha kathitameva, idhapi (Abv.CS:pg.207) pana bhavgakkhane rupuppadabhave upapattiya tattha vattabbena ca saha sukhaggahanattham savgahetva vuccati–

“Uppannuppajjamananti, vibhavge evamadinam;

Bhavgakkhanasmim uppannam, no ca uppajjamanakam.

“Uppajjamanamuppade, uppannabcati-adina;

Bhavguppadava akkhata, na cittassa thitikkhano.

“‘Uppado ca vayo ceva, abbathattam thitassa ca;

Pabbayati’ti (a.ni.3.47) vuttatta, thiti atthiti ce matam.

“Abbathattassa ekasmim, dhamme anupaladdhito;

Pabbanavacana ceva, pabandhatthiti tatthapi.

“Vutta tasma na cittassa, thiti dissati paliyam;

Abhidhamme abhavopi, nisedhoyeva sabbatha.

“Yada samudayo yassa, nirujjhati tadassa kim;

Dukkhamuppajjatityettha, pabhe noti nisedhato.

“Rupuppado na bhavgasmim, tasma sabbepi paccaya;

Uppadeyeva cittassa, rupahetuti kecana.

“Vuccate tattha ekasmim, dhammeyeva yatha mata;

Uppadavatthato bhinna, bhavgavattha tatheva tu.

“Bhavgassabhimukhavattha, icchitabba ayam thiti;

Nayadassanato esa, vibhavge na tu desita.

31. Rupaviragabhavananibbattatta hetuno tabbidhurataya, anokasataya ca arupavipaka, rupajanane visesapaccayehi jhanavgehi sampayogabhavato dvipabcavibbanani cati cuddasa cittani rupam na samutthapentiti vuttam aruppavipakadvipabcavibbanavajjitan”ti. Patisandhicittam, pana cuticittabca ekunavisati bhavavgasseva antogadhatta cittantaram na hotiti na tassa vajjanam katam. Kibcapi na katam, pacchajatapaccayarahitam, pana aharadihi ca anupatthaddham dubbalavatthum nissaya pavattatta, attano ca agantukataya kammajarupehi cittasamutthanarupanam thanam gahetva thitatta ca patisandhicittam rupasamutthapakam na hoti. Cuticitte pana atthakathayam (dha.sa attha.636 vibha attha.26pakinnakakatha) tava “vupasantavattamulasmim santane satisayam santavuttitaya khinasavasseva cuticittam rupam na samutthapeti”ti (dha.sa.mulati.636) vuttam. Anandacariyadayo pana “sabbesampi cuticittam rupam na samutthapeti”ti vadanti. Vinicchayo pana nesam savkhepato mulatikadisu, vittharato ca Abhidhammatthavikasiniyam vuttanayena datthabbo. Pathamabhavavgamupadayati patisandhiya anantaranibbattapathamabhavavgato patthaya. Jayantameva samutthapeti, na pana thitam, bhijjamanam va anantaradipaccayalabhena uppadakkhaneyeva janakasamatthiyayogato.

32. Iriyaya kayikakiriyaya pavattipathabhavato iriyapatho, gamanadi, atthato tadavattha rupappavatti. Tampi (Abv.CS:pg.209) sandhareti yathapavattam upatthambheti. Yatha hi vithicittehi abbokinne bhavavge pavattamane avgani osidanti, na evametesu dvattimsavidhesu, vakkhamanesu ca chabbisatiya jagaranacittesu pavattamanesu. Tada pana avgani upatthaddhani yathapavatta-iriyapathabhaveneva pavattanti.

33. Vibbattimpi samutthapenti, na kevalam rupiriyapathaneva. Avisesavacanepi panettha manodvarappavattaneva votthabbanajavanani vibbattisamutthapakani, tatha hasajanakani ca pabcadvarappavattanam paridubbalabhavatoti datthabbam. Kamabcettha rupavinimutto iriyapatho, vibbatti va natthi, tathapi na sabbam rupasamutthapakam cittam iriyapathupatthambhakam, vibbattivikarajanakabca hoti. Yam pana cittam vibbattijanakam, tam ekamsato iriyapathupatthambhakam iriyapathassa vibbattiya saha avinabhavato. Iriyapathupatthambhakabca rupajanakanti imassa visesadassanattham rupato iriyapathavibbattinam visum gahanam.

34. Terasati kusalato cattari, akusalato cattari, kiriyato pabcati terasa. Tesu hi puthujjana atthahi kusalakusalehi hasanti, sekkha ditthisahagatavajjitehi, asekkha pana pabcahi kiriyacittehi, tatthapi Buddha catuhi sahetukakiriyacitteheva hasanti, na ahetukena “atitamsadisu appatihatabanam patva imehi tihi dhammehi samannagatassa Buddhassa Bhagavato sabbam kayakammam banapubbavgamam bananuparivatti”ti vacanato (mahani.69 culani.Mogharajamanavapucchaniddesa 85 pati.ma.3.5). Na hi vicaranapabbarahitassa hasituppadassa Buddhanam pavatti yuttati vadanti. Hasituppadacittena pana pavattiyamanampi tesam sitakaranam pubbenivasa-anagatamsasabbabbutabbananam anuvattakatta bananuparivattiyevati. Evabca katva atthakathayam (Abv.CS:pg.210) (dha.sa attha.568) “tesam bananam cinnapariyante idam cittam hasayamanam uppajjati”ti vuttam, tasma na tassa Buddhanam pavatti sakka nivaretum.

35. Pacchajatadipaccayupatthambhalabhena thitikkhaneyeva utu-ojanam balavabhavoti vuttam “tejodhatu thitippattatyadi.

37. Tattha hadaya-indriyarupani nava kammatoyeva jatatta kammajaneva. Yabhi jatam, jayati, jayissati ca, tam “kammajan”ti vuccati yatha duddhanti.

40. Paccuppannapaccayapekkhatta lahutadittayam kammajam na hoti, itaratha sabbadabhavihi bhavitabbanti vuttam “lahutadittayam utucittaharehi sambhotiti.

43. Ekantakammajani nava, catujesu kammajani navati attharasa kammajani, pabcavikararupasadda-avinibbhogarupa-akasavasena pannarasa cittajani, saddo, lahutadittayam, avinibbhogakasarupani navati terasa utujani, lahutadittaya-avinibbhogakasavasena dvadasa aharajani.

44. Kevalam jayamanadirupanam jayamanaparipaccamanabhijjamanarupanam sabhavatta sabhavamattam vina attano jati-adilakkhanabhavato lakkhanani kehici paccayehi na jayantiti pakasitam. Uppadadiyuttanabhi cakkhadinam jati-adini lakkhanani vijjanti, na evam jati-adinam. Yadi tesampi jati-adini siyum, evam anavatthanameva apajjeyya. Yam pana “rupayatanam …pe… kabalikaro aharo. Ime dhamma cittasamutthana”tyadisu (dha.sa.1201) jatiya kutocijatattam anubbatam (Abv.CS:pg.211) tampi rupajanakapaccayanam rupuppadanam pati anuparatabyaparanam paccayabhavupagamanakkhane jayamanadhammavikarabhavena upalabbhamanatam sandhayati datthabbam. Yampi “jati, bhikkhave, anicca savkhata paticcasamuppanna. Jaramaranam, bhikkhave, aniccam savkhatam paticcasamuppannan”ti vacanam (sam.ni.2.20), tatthapi paticcasamuppannanam lakkhanabhavatoti ayametthabhisandhi. Tenahu porana–

“Pathe kutoci jatattam, jatiya pariyayato;

Savkhatanam sabhavatta, tisu savkhatatodita”ti.

Kalapayojanavannana

45. Yasma panetani rupani kammadito uppajjamananipi na ekekam samutthahanti, atha kho pindatova. Tasma pindanam gananaparicchedam, sarupabca dassetum “ekuppadatyadi vuttam Sahavuttinoti visum visum kalapagatarupavasena sahavuttino, na sabbakalapanam abbamabbam sahuppattivasena.

46. Dasa parimana assati dasakam, samudayassetam namam, cakkhuna upalakkhitam, tappadhanam va dasakam cakkhudasakam. Evam sesesupi.

47. Vacivibbattiggahanena saddopi savgahito hoti tassa tadavinabhavatoti vuttam “vacivibbattidasakan”ti.

50. Kim (Abv.CS:pg.212) panete ekavisati kalapa sabbepi sabbattha honti, udahu keci katthaciti aha “tatthatyadi.

Rupapavattikkamavannana

52. Idani nesam sambhavavasena, pavattipatisandhivasena, yonivasena ca pavattim dassetum “sabbanipi panetanityadi vuttam. Yatharahanti sabhavakaparipunnayatananam anurupato.

53. Kamalakuharagabbhamaladisamsedatthanesu jata samsedaja. Upapato nesam atthiti opapatika, ukkamsagatiparicchedavasena cettha visittha-upapato gahito yatha “abhirupassa kabba databba”ti. Satta dasakani patubhavanti paripunnayatanabhavena upalabbhanato. Kadaci na labbhanti jaccandhajaccabadhirajaccaghananapumsaka-adikappikanam vasena. Tattha sugatiyam mahanubhavena kammuna nibbattamananam opapatikanam indriyavekallayogato cakkhusotaghanalabho samsedajanam, bhavalabho pathamakappika-opapatikanam vasenapi. Duggatiyam pana cakkhusotabhavalabho dvinnampi vasena, ghanalabho samsedajanameva vasena, na opapatikanam vasenati datthabbam. Tatha hi dhammahadayavibhavge “kamadhatuya upapattikkhane kassaci ekadasayatanani patubhavanti, kassaci dasa, kassaci aparanipi dasa, kassaci nava, kassaci satta”ti (vibha.1007) vacanato paripunnindriyassa opapatikassa saddayatanavajjitani ekadasayatanani vuttani. Andhassa cakkhayatanavajjitani (Abv.CS:pg.213) dasa, tatha badhirassa sotayatanavajjitani, andhabadhirassa tadubhayavajjitani nava, gabbhaseyyakassa cakkhusotaghanajivhasaddayatanavajjitanisattayatanani vuttani. Yadi pana aghanakopi opapatiko siya, andhabadhiraghanakanam vasena tikkhattum dasa, andhabadhira-andhaghanakabadhiraghanakanam vasena tikkhattum nava, andhabadhiraghanakassa vasena ca attha ayatanani vattabbani siyum, na panevam vuttani. Tasma natthi opapatikassa ghanavekallanti. Tatha ca vuttam Yamakatthakathayam “aghanako opapatiko natthi. Yadi bhaveyya, kassaci atthayatananiti vadeyya”ti (yama.attha.ayatanayamaka.18-21).

Samsedajanam pana ghanabhavo na sakka nivaretum “kamadhatuya upapattikkhane”tyadipaliya (vibha.1007) opapatikayonimeva sandhaya, sattayatanaggahanassa ca abbesam asambhavato gabbhaseyyakameva sandhaya vuttatta. Yam pana “samsedajayonika paripunnayatanabhavena opapatikasavgaham katva vutta”ti atthakathavacanam, tampi paripunnayatanamyeva samsedajanam opapatikesu savgahavasena vuttam. Apare pana yamake ghanajivhanam sahacarita vuttati ajivhassa asambhavato aghanakassapi abhavameva vannenti, tatthapi yatha cakkhusotani rupabhave ghanajivhahi vina pavattanti, na evam ghanajivha abbamabbam vina pavattanti dvinnampi rupabhave anuppajjanatoti evam visum visum kamabhave appavattivasena tesam sahacarita vuttati na na sakka vattunti.

54. Gabbhe matukucchiyam sentiti gabbhaseyyaka, teyeva rupadisu sattataya sattati gabbhaseyyakasatta. Ete (Abv.CS:pg.214) andajajalabuja. Tini dasakani patubhavanti, yani “kalalarupan”ti vuccanti, paripinditani ca tani jati-unnaya ekassa amsuno pasannatilatele pakkhipitva uddhatassa paggharitva agge thitabindumattani acchani vippasannani. Kadaci na labbhati abhavakasattanam vasena. Tato paranti patisandhito param. Pavattikaleti sattame sattahe, tikakaramatena ekadasame sattahe va. Kamenati cakkhudasakapatubhavato sattahatikkamena sotadasakam tato sattahatikkamena ghanadasakam, tato sattahatikkamena jivhadasakanti evam anukkamena. Atthakathayampi hi ayamattho dassitova.

55. Thitikalanti patisandhicittassa thitikalam. Patisandhicittasahajata hi utu thanappatta tassa thitikkhane suddhatthakam samutthapeti, tada uppanna bhavgakkhanetyadina anukkamena utu rupam janeti. Ojapharanamupadayati gabbhaseyyakassa matu ajjhohataharato samsedajopapatikanabca mukhagatasemhadito ojaya rasaharani-anusarena sarire pharanakalato patthaya.

56. Cuticittam uparimam etassati cuticittopari. Kammajarupani na uppajjanti taduppattiyam maranabhavato. Kammajarupavicchede hi “mato”ti vuccati. Yathaha–

“Ayu usma ca vibbanam, yada kayam jahantimam;

Apaviddho tada seti, niratthamva kalivgaran”ti. (sam.ni.3.95thokam visadisam).

Puretaranti sattarasamassa uppadakkhane. Tatoparam cittajaharajarupabca vocchijjatiti ajivakasantane tesam uppattiya (Abv.CS:pg.215) abhavato yathanibbattam cittajam, aharajabca tato param kibci kalam pavattitva nirujjhati. Apare pana acariya “cittajarupam cuticittato puretarameva vocchijjati”ti vannenti.

58. Rupaloke ghanajivhakayanam abhave karanam vuttameva. Bhavadvayam pana bahalakamaragupanissayatta brahmanabca tadabhavato tattha na pavattati. Aharajakalapani ca na labbhanti ajjhohataharabhavena sariragatassapi aharassa rupasamutthapanabhavato. Bahirabhi utum, aharabca upanissayam labhitva utu-ahara rupam samutthapenti. Jivitanavakanti kayabhavato kayadasakatthaniyam jivitanavakam.

59. Atiricchati sesabrahmanam patisandhiyam, pavatte ca upalabhitabbarupato avasittham hoti maranakale pana brahmanam sariranikkhepabhavato sabbesampi tisamutthanani, dvisamutthanani ca saheva nirujjhanti.

61. Rupesu tevisati ghanajivhakayabhavadvayavasena pabcannam abhavato. Keci pana “lahutadittayampi tesu natthi dandhattakaradidhatukkhobhabhavato”ti vadanti, tam akaranam. Na hi vupasametabbapekkha tabbirodhidhammappavatti tatha sati sahetukakiriyacittesu lahutadinam abhavappasavgato. “Saddo vikaro”tyadi sabbesampi sadharanavasena vuttam.

Rupapavattikkamavannana nitthita.

Nibbanabhedavannana

62. Ettavata (Abv.CS:pg.216) cittacetasikarupani vibhagato niddisitva idani nibbanam niddisanto aha “nibbanam panatyadi. “Catumaggabanena sacchikatabban”ti imina nibbanassa tamtam-ariyapuggalanam paccakkhasiddhatam dasseti. “Maggaphalanamarammanabhutan”ti imina kalyanaputhujjananam anumanasiddhatam. Savkhatadhammarammanabhi, pabbattarammanam va banam kilesanam samucchedapatippassambhane asamattham, atthi ca loke kilesasamucchedadi. Tasma atthi savkhatasammutidhammaviparito kilesanam samucchedapatippassaddhikaranam maggaphalanam arammanabhuto nibbanam nama eko dhammoti siddham. Paccakkhanumanasiddhatasandassanena ca abhavamattam nibbananti vippatipannanam vadam nisedhetiti alamatippapabcena. Khandhadibhede tebhumakadhamme hetthupariyavasena vinanato samsibbanato vanasavkhataya tanhaya nikkhantatta visayatikkamavasena atitatta.

63. Sabhavatoti attano santilakkhanena. Upadiyati kamupadadihiti upadi, pabcakkhandhassetam adhivacanam, upadiyeva seso kilesehiti upadiseso, tena saha vattatiti sa-upadisesa sa eva nibbanadhatuti sa-upadisesanibbanadhatu. Karanapariyayenati sa-upadisesadivasena pabbapane karanabhutassa upadisesa bhavabhavassa lesena.

64. Arammanato, sampayogato ca ragadosamohehi subbatta subbam, subbameva subbatam, tatha ragadinimittarahitatta animittam. Ragadipanidhirahitatta appanihitam. Sabbasavkharehi va subbatta subbatam. Sabbasavkharanimittabhavato (Abv.CS:pg.217) animittam. Tanhapanidhiya abhavato appanihitam.

65. Cavanabhavato accutam. Antassa pariyosanassa atikkantatta accantam. Paccayehi asavkhatatta asavkhatam. Attano uttaritarassa abhavato, sahadhammena vattabbassa uttarassa va abhavato anuttaram. Vanato tanhato muttatta sabbaso apagatatta vanamutta. Mahante silakkhandhadike esanti gavesantiti mahesayo. “Iti cittan”tyadi chahi paricchedehi vibhattanam cittadinam nigamanam.
