творчества Османа Тюркая. Средства художественного изобра-
жения и лексико-семантические особенности, к которым обра-
щается  поэт  в  своей  поэзии,  свидетельствуют  о  его  высоком 
творческом  потенциале.  Четко  осознавая  необходимость  вза-
имовлияния литератур, он расширяет установленные границы, 
создает более совершенные формы выражения и образы, обога-
щает  национальную  литературу  элементами  модернистской  и 
символистской литературы.  
С  именем  Османа  Тюркая  связаны  коренные  изменения, 
обогатившие  кипро-тюркскую  поэзию. C этой  точки  зрения, 
систематический анализ поэтического творчества Османа Тюр-
кая,  представленный  в  данной  диссертационной  работе,  поз-
воляет  выявить  роль  Османа  Тюркая  в  формировании  совре-
менной  кипрской  тюркской  поэзии,  роль  поэта – новатора, 
создающего  уникальный  синтез  традиций  восточной  и  запад-
ной поэзии.  
Третья глава работы - “Литературно - критические и эстети-
ческие  взгляды  Османа  Тюркая”  посвящена  литературно-
критическим  статьям  и  выступлениям  поэта,  его  размышле-
ниям о путях и методах развития кипрской тюркской литерату-
ры. 
В  заключении  автор  подводит  итоги  всему  исследованию,

SUMMARY 
 
(The Poetic Heritage of Osman Turkay) 
 
The monograph is research work dedicated to scientific explore 
of artistic and literal-critical activities of Osman Turkay, representa-
tive of Cyprus Turkish literature.  
The work contains introduction, three chapter, conclusion and 
list of used literature. The first chapter titled as “About the history 
of Establishment of Cyprus Turkish literature”. Here the author re-
searches the history and literature of Cyprus Turkish people in a as-
sociated way. It deals with classical representatives of Cyprus Turk-
ish poetry. It is noted that their activity has been formed under the 
influence of Osmanli divan literature.  
In the second chapter of the work named “Renovation process in 
modern Turkish literature and poetry Osman Turkay”. Here both 
the first and the second period of artistic activity of Osman Turkay 
(1927-2001) had been explored. His poetry has been studied from 
form and context point, and noted that his first poems had been 
written in Aruz metre and metre based on the number of syllables. 
Role of Turkish authors like Ahmad Hаshim, Yahya Kamal and ot-
hers influencing on the initial period of activity of Osman Turkay 
have been stressed.  
The author dealing with position of Osman Turkay as innovator 
poet in Cyprus Turkish literature in the second period of the activity 
got a result that the second part of the activity of Turkay has been 
formed under the influence of Turkish and English poetry, too. Os-
man Turkay deriving benefit from poets such as Nazim Hikmat, 
Malih Jovdat Anday, Thomas Elliot, Dilan Thomas despite this in-
fluence had been able to form his activity way. The author already 
writing free poems has tried to describe achievements of cosmos 
century and damages to the humane community of scientific-techni-

cal progress. In this period of Osman Turkay widely applying to 
mythology human subjects are the key.  
Information on artistic structure, specific characteristics, meta-
phor system of Osman Turkay has been given in the monograph. 
Pretender has studied the first and second periods being the re-
search object from mastership point. One point has been marked 
that artistic characteristics of both Western and Eastern poem in Os-
man Turkay activity have been synthesized. The writer of the pre-
sent thesis has revealed the artistic description and expression 
means of the poet, has grounded her thoughts with artistic exam-
ples.  
The author has dealt with renovation on form and context that 
Osman Turkay brought to Cyprus Turkish poetry in s. systematic 
way, literary influence circle. Role of Osman Turkay in the forma-
tion of both free poem and its spread, and dissemination of modern-
ist and symbolical poetry has been focused with convincing exam-
ples. The explorer also stressed the poet to be a author in worldwi-
de.  
The third chapter of the work titled as “Literal-critics and aes-
thetic meetings of Osman Turkay”. And as it’s seen from name, the 
author has been explored him not as a poet but also critic.
