Measurement
When performed, dialog window will appear on a screen containing all
parameters suitable for currently selected mode of running. Typically it will be
MCA mode parameters window but if the card allows to switch between MCA and
MCS mode it can be one of two. For MCA mode of running it will be acquisition
configuration dialog window in which the following parameters can be set:
Lower and upper level threshold – values of the appropriate threshold may be
change by writing their absolute value in milivolts [mV] or by defining particular
analyzer channel (threshold voltages will be update automatically). The
alternative method of thresholds definition is setting the Set Thresholds button. In
the latter case, the thresholds values are set accordingly to the position of the
markers established in the spectra panel of ANALYZER module. Changing of the
marker positions is accompanied by an appropriate information message.
Number of channels - determines the channel area where spectra are
accumulated (first channel is always 0) – available numbers of channels are:
1024, 2048, 4096 or 8192.
Input signal gating – the control of the coincidence mode of analog input signal
with external positive gating signal (LEMO connector). Three gating modes are
available: No gating, Coincidence, Anticoincidence. Usually analyzer operates
without any external gating (No gating setting).

Factory defaults
3.2.1
Loading the "factory defaults" is able after menu command:
menu: Measurement | Factory defaults...
The window with the parameters and their default values will appear. "OK" will
write those values to the analyser.

Program allows to read the hardware registers of the analyser. It is possible only
in "HARDWARE MODULE" by menu:

Measurement
In case of analyser Tukan-8k-PCI, this window contains two tabs. The name of
the first agrees with the current mode of work. It contains a list of the internal
memory cells. Second tab shows the PCI bus communication registers.
For the Tukan-8k-USB, this window contains hardware registers with their values.
Parameters are split into two groups: Parameter Registers and Result Registers.

These windows present only current status of registers (information is refreshed
about every 1s). Values of parameters could not be changed. Meaning of the
filled bit fields are described directly or in hints. Information showed in the dialog
window "Analyzer internal registers" are 
destined for advanced users.

Start/Stop/Reset of data acquisition
Acquisition control commands consist of the following: start and stop of
acquisition, clearing of buffer containing experimental data, setting criteria for
automatic acquisition stop. All of them can be performed in HARDWARE or
ANALYZER module by selecting from the main menu of the module, appropriate
icon on a toolbar or from the context menu of acquisition parameters panel, on
which current acquisition parameters are displayed. Contents of this panel is
described in chapter

„Reset" command makes acquisition data buffer cleared and sets zero to all time
counters.
If 
several acquisition paths

Acquisition automatic stop criteria
Selection of  automatic acquisition stop criteria is performed in separate dialog
box. It is possible to set two independent criteria for automatic acquisition stop:
time (with possibility of distinguishing between two types of time calculation: real
or live) and counts, which compares number of counts in defined region with a
limit set by the user.
Setting of automatic stop criteria:

The program perform control of acquisition time only then when Active check box
