anything to do with ANTENNA; we have here merely a sample 
of the "suture" of short messages into one ostensible 
message.  The serial number 550 belongs to the message 
preceding it.  The address “VIKTORU” belongs to both parts, 
as would the signature and date at the very end (unrecovered). 
 
     6.  New York-Moscow message 1053 [594] of 26 July 1944 
(previously reported on,here with slight revisions and

         In July ANTENNA --4F-- 10 days (?the work?) in 
     Carthage [Washington].  There he visited his friend 
(?participant? ?apprentice?) MAX ELITCHER, who works 
in --8F- xxx working (?on the construction of?)  --2U-- 
[word beginning with CHAS and ending with NIK?] more 
than 5 inches.  He has access to --2F-- [possibly 
something like "the extraordinary censors"] --2F--. 
MAX E. five years ago --3F-- labor matters --6F--. 
He has (a) scientific (?degree?) --1F--.  --9F--. 
He is a fellow countryman [member of CP-USA].  --25F-- 
and capable person.  Is married, wife is a fellow 
countrywoman [member of CP-USA].  By profession a 
psychologist [or psychiatrist] works in the War  
Department.  Max E., an excellent amateur photographer,

     7.   Next in order is 1251 [700], announcing the change  
from ANTENNA to LIBERAL.  Then comes New York-Moscow message 
1327 of 15 September 1944:

         At the last meeting of ARSENIY with (?SHTAMP?)

working now at a/the robot plant.  We communicated 
a detailed characterization of B. in letter 7 of 
5 September.  In the conversation, B. related: 
 
    (?The League?) in the last two months has been  
trying to have 60 days spent in getting robot pro- 
duction underway.  The firms working out a/the system 
--2F-- so short a time allowed to get production 
underway.  REPUBLIC agreed to produce robots and  
began production in 55 days.  On 2 September (there) 
were --4F--.  Weight of each robot 4500 pounds, speed 
500 miles per hour.  Range unknown.  --2F-- on the  
robot has a diameter of 6 inches, length 12 inches.

is going on under an intensified program. 
 
    LIBERAL has confirmed in connection with the

robots will be assembled on aircraft carriers for  
action against Japan. 
 
    REPUBLIC is about to turn out 600 P-47 planes a  
month.  The plane affords 525 miles per hour.  The 
plant has 2x thousand workers --7F--.

already reported on (ENORMOZ).  Then comes New York-Moscow 
message 1657 [923] of 27 November 1944:

often given to names in this traffic.  Possibly it is the  
genitive of a covername MAYA (Maia the consort of Vulcan, 
or Maia the mother of Hermes?). 
 
     This message is followed by 1773 [967] of 16 [15] 
December 1944 (ENORMOZ). 
 
     9.  Note on the word "sketch".  In the report on the 
covername ENORMOZ, section 4, LIBERAL is to inquire of 
CHESTER about "sketches" from the milieu of persons working  
on ENORMOZ and other domains of technical science.  This is 
the same word (NABROSOK) that occurs in section 4 of the 
present report in the meaning 'short characterization' or 
'short biography'.  This may be the meaning of the word in
