1. Terminology is an integral part of the vocabulary of the literary language. The adherents of this point of view talk about the origin of a number of terms from the words of the literary language and about the possibility of introducing them into the number of terms22. This point of view is shared by E.A. Makshantseva, who notes that terminology is "another subsystem within the general lexical system of a given language and, moreover, the subsystem is the most visible and quantifiable, especially since terminology as a subsystem, in turn, breaks down into subsystems according to thematic features"23. I.I. Chironova, in turn, offers several definitions of terminology:

- words and verbal complexes that correlate with the concepts of a specific science and are in systemic relations with other similar units, forming together with them in each case a special closed system24;

- a set of interdependent lexical units that serve to designate the concepts of any branch of human knowledge, which in turn form a system of its concepts;

- a set of terms, lexical units of a certain language for special purposes, denoting a special (specific or abstract) concept25.

In these definitions, such a property of terminology as consistency is traced . But this property, as noted by G.P. Snetov, is also inherent in the vocabulary of the literary language, therefore it is quite logical to assume that these definitions refer precisely to the first group of points of view. A.A. Reformed about the consistency of literary vocabulary notes that "... like any tier of linguistic structure, vocabulary is a system." However, according to A.A. Reformed, it is in the vocabulary that it is most difficult to establish the system, due to the fact that the “facts” of the dictionary are innumerable and extremely variegated; it all depends on the fact that vocabulary is the most specific sector of the language, and the less formal the abstraction, the more difficult it is to understand it as a system, however, the vocabulary is systemic26. The formation of terminology in a particular branch of knowledge depends to a large extent on the conscious efforts of people developing this branch. This is the consistency of terminology, which is determined within the framework of a specific branch of knowledge.

Literary vocabulary is the core, without which communication at any level is unthinkable. Meanwhile, a person's communicative activity is directly interwoven into his production activity, being an integral part of the latter, and this largely determines the features of the nomination processes27. Literary vocabulary and terminology are closely related in the sense that the same words can be part of the terminology and at the same time can function in the literary language. This is evidenced by such processes as terminology and determinology. For example, if we take the word window, on the one hand, it is a term in construction, and on the other hand, this lexical unit can be used in fiction, for example, in the title of such a work as "The open window" (HH Munro). The same word can also be used by members of the media to cover news, for example: teenagers threw the wheel out of the window and killed a man.

Due to the above definitions of the terminology of I.I. Mironova identifies the signs of terminology to which she refers: belonging to a certain field of knowledge; correlation with a certain closed and strict system within the relevant area of knowledge; correlation with a specific specialized concept. Following R.Yu. Kobrin and B.N. Golovin, I.I. Chironova proposes to consider terminology in the system of a common language, since often the same lexical units can simultaneously act as both terms and common words28.

Similarly, T.N. Dankova by terminology means a set of terms that have developed in the process of the birth and development of a certain scientific area and serve to express special concepts, as well as to name typical objects of this area29. Howe ver, we consider it necessary to note that from a historical point of view, not only terminology is developing, since along with it, common vocabulary is also enriched, since these layers of vocabulary are closely correlated with each other.
