participant indicated that, 
“As a manager of company, I am in charge of managing accounting department, 
general affair and HR department. I always pay attention to our employees and workers 
if they understand what we have instructed or not. Nevertheless, I found that sometime 
they misunderstand our meaning, in other word, it likes as the same word but difference 
meaning. I think that it maybe result of difference culture.” (Participant C)
Another participant also agreed with the arbitrary decision from employees. It 
seems the difference of conception as well as the self-cognitive on working of 
Vietnamese workers,

“The situation happened in our company that Vietnamese workers sometime make a 
decision without discussing it with anyone and they think that it is better decision for 
company, but for us, it is opposed to company regular, for instance, a production 
process have to spend 50 hours to finish totally, but sometime our employee 
automatically adjusts the time of production down to 45 hours and explained that 
because of saving 
power for company” (Participant A)

From the response of participants, we can conclude that the difficulty on cross-
cultural management of Taiwanese companies in Vietnam is almost happened in 
language barrier and cultural difference; especially it differs from personal view on 
working environment. In turn, the language barrier could lead the misunderstanding 
situations happen in workplace and it affects to work progress as well as consequence 
of production also.
