Çox bəsit görünən bu mövzu o qədər də sadə mövzu
deyil və Şərq mədəniyyət
və ədəbiyyatında çox geniş yayılmış bir ənənədir. Mövzunu bu kiçik yazıda ətraflı
şəkildə işıqlandırmağı bir məqsəd kimi qarşımıza qoymamışıq və onu kiçik bir yazıda
əhatə etmək də mümkün deyil. Ona görə də biz ancaq İslam aləminin fəxri və
dünyanın məşhurları siyahısına daxil olanların ləqəb və fəxri adlarını nəzərə
çatdırmaqla kifayətləndik.

qədim xalqlarda olduğu kimi, qədim ərəblərdə də insanların ilkin
adlarından başqa onlara keçdikləri həyat yolunda sərgilədikləri müəyyən davranış,
rəftar, dəyər və keyfiyyətlərə uyğun gələn ayamalar, ləqəblər və fəxri adlar vermək
bir ənənə halı almışdır. Bu ayama və ləqəblər müsbət mənalı olduğu kimi, pis və mənfi
mənalı da olurdu. İnsan cəmiyyətini hərtərəfli islah edib yaxşılaşdırmağı qarşısına
əsas hədəf kimi qoyan islam dini bu ənənəyə də biganə qala bilməzdi və qalmadı da.
Bu məramla da Qurani – Kərim müsəlmanları insan ləyaqətini və şəxsiyyətini
alçaldan lağ, tənə və rişxənddən çəkindirmək tövsiyyələrini
verərək insanlara
davranışlarına, dəyər və xidmətlərinə görə yaxşı cəhətdən fərqləndirici ləqəblər
verməyə rəvac verdi.
SUMMARY
Like other nation, ancient Arabs also had the tradition of giving people, apart
from their own names, epithets and honorary titles related to their certain conducts
and acts that they performed during their lifetime as well as related to their specific
values and characteristics. These epithets and titles could
used either to criticize or
praise people. Islam, whose aim was to fully reform society and to establish a moral
society, could not be indifferent to this tradition. For this reason, the Holy Qur`an
advises people not to give each other the epithets, which humiliate their dignity,
instead, it invites people to give each other positive epithets related to their behaviors,
values and good characteristics.

We deal with Early Modern English, we talk about the English language that was
during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, that is from the XV- to the XVI - centuries. Let
us first recall the syntax of modal verbs at Modern English period. There are two
syntactic structures which are closely linked to modality depending on whether the
modal is epistemic. If we now have a look at the different
instances within the Early
Middle English corpus, we can note that EME still has inflected forms for modals, but
only for the second person singular (thou). [11, 169]
E. G. (1)Farewell, thou canst not teach me to forget.
It is the same when dealing with the lexical forms of modals,
E. G. (1)Shall ever medicine thee to that sweet sleep/ Which thou owedst
yesterday;
(2) Therefore stay yet, thou need’st not be gone. [12, 134]
We also find instances where modals are used lexically,
E. G. (1) I would not for
the world they saw thee there;
(2) Nay, he will answer the letter’s master, how he dares, being dared.
The examples are interesting for three reasons:
1) because there is contraction of the modal, grammaticalization is visible; if there
is contraction, it implies that the modal is a functional head which can
morphologically merge with the adjoined nominal
head of the subject;
2) Only Will has the contracted from we find in Contemporary English, but for
WOULD, we can find different types of contractions;
3) In some examples, the contraction of the modal is not a bound morpheme but
the subject pronoun.
By the end of the Middle English period, we remarked only two forms for modal
verbs remained.
In the following table, we summarize
ME and
EME modals. [12,
